Verify Public Records
Parcel data can be incomplete, delayed, outdated, or interpreted incorrectly. Before buying, selling,
contacting an owner, or making any land-related decision, verify records directly with the appropriate
county offices, recorder, treasurer, assessor, GIS department, zoning authority, and qualified
professionals.
Estimated Values
Any estimated market values are rough proxies based on available assessment data. They are not appraisals.
Farmland, exempt property, special-use property, and recently improved property may not be represented well
by simple assessment-based estimates.
Public Records And Owner Data
Some future private tools may organize public-record parcel information such as ownership, mailing address,
tax status, assessment data, parcel class, acreage, and GIS links. Illinois Land Index is intended to make
public records easier to research, not to encourage harassment, misuse, discrimination, or unlawful contact.
Waitlist Privacy
If you submit the early access form, we may collect your name, email, counties of interest, and land
research preferences. That information is used to follow up about Illinois Land Index and shape the private
beta. We do not sell waitlist submissions.
